Emergency Laptop Battery Recall

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, about 70,000 laptop batteries sold within the last couple of years may be prone to overheating and possibly catching fire. Laptops affected include HPs and Compaqs. A full list may be found here at the CPSC website. Compaq is offering free replacement batteries for all those affected.
